Release Notes ProtocolAnalyzer 2.0

This is version 2.0 of the ProtocolAnalyzer. Main news in this release are:

Plugins

It is now possible to write decoders for new protocols as separate java classes and plug them in to the Protocol Analyzer, just by placing a jar with the plugin in the plugin-folder! The same plugin is then also compatible with the NetHome Server, so you will be able to use the same protocol decoder for home automation. Examples of decoder plugins with build scripts are included in the release package.

Installer

The Protocol Analyzer now has an installer which can install the tool on multiple platforms. For Windows there is a stand alone .exe-file installer. For other platforms there is a installer .jar-file.

Open Source

The complete sources for Protocol Analyzer are now available on GitHub. The address is: https://github.com/NetHome. You do not need the sources to build new protocol plugins, but it may be interesting to see the source of the existing protocol encoders/decoders and they are located in the Coders repository.
