[ Software]

As described in the Current Project State-page this software is not yet in a public release state. I have been using it in my home for over a year in different configurations with both X10 and FS20 first on a Windows 2000-server and currently on a Ubuntu Linux server.

[ Release Notes]

This is a list of the news and changes in the 0.9 release. These changes has been available for a while in the nightly builds, but now they are formally released.

CUL Support

Added support for the CUL stick with the CULTransceiver-item. The CUL stick is a small USB-device with a programmable radio transmitter and receiver which can be used to control any lamp switch using the 433.92MHz-band. This includes for example Nexa and X10. The CUL stick can be bought at www.busware…

This module is a part of the NetHomeServer. The GenericProntoCommander is dynamic control Item. You can add the available actions by specifying them in a Configuration File. Each action is defined as a Pronto Command that will be sent when the corresponding action is invoked. The GenericProntoCommander used is when you have a device (for example a radio controlled switch) which is not yet supported by NetHomeServer, but you have the Pronto-codes for the radio signals. CUL 433 is a generic radio transceiver with a CPU and a radio transceiver circuit, which is manufactured and sold by busware.de. The CUL device connects to a PC with an USB-connection. The 433MHz band is used by a many remote switches and wireless thermometers, so with a radio transmitter on this band a lot of devices can be controlled.

[ PowerMid]

PowerMid is really an Infra Red Remote extender product. It consists of two units, one IR-receiver and one IR-transmitter. They communicate via a 433MHz radio link. The idea is that you put the receiver in one room (where you are) and the transmitter in another room (where for example your DVD-Player is) and you can control the DVD-Player with your remote via the PowerMid radio link.
