This window is reached by double clicking a row of a decoded message.
[ Decoded Window]

The window presents details of the decoded protocol. It also allows you to enter the name of the message. This name will be used in the export function. The purpose is to be able to sampe a lot of buttons on a remote control and name the messages here, and then export the data for use in other programs.

Decoders Window

The Decoders Management Window is opened from the menu view->decoders:

[Decoders Window]

Here you specify which decoders should be active when receiving signals. Multiple (or all) decoders may be active simultaneously. Note that in order to see the raw (undecoded) samples, both the raw-decoder must be active and the menu item view->Raw must be active.

The ProtocolAnalyzer allows you to save sessions of signals via the file menu. These save files are binary representations of the session and cannot be used from other programs.

There are however other ways to save data from the received signals. One way is to save data from decoded messages via the “Export Data” function the other is to export the raw pulse data.

The main window of the Protocol Analyzer presents a list of all received signals in real time. It also presents the status of the scanning. When an audio device is used as input, it presents a VU-meter indicating the signal level.

ProtocolAnalyzer Manual

The protocol Analyzer Tool is intended to help analyzing and decoding slow pulse based protocols such as IR-remote protocols and RF lamp switch protocols. The Analyzer has protocol decoders for a number of standard protocols and can decode the parameters from them. It can also help analyzing the signals of unknown protocols and help in building decoders for new protocols.

The Protocol Analyzer can be used to analyze the raw data signals to help understand new protocols and write new decoders. This can also be used to tune the volume of the audio device to optimize reception.

Undecoded Window

The undecoded window is the heart of the analyzer. Here you can see the raw undecoded signal and analyze the pulses. The Windows is opened by double clicking on a raw message line
